The Lead Pastor, alongside the other elders, is accountable for the spiritual welfare and oversight of the church. He shall devote his time to prayer, the ministry of the Word (by teaching and encouraging sound doctrine), and shepherding God’s flock. The Lead Pastor serves as the administrative officer and supervisor of church staff; he is not responsible for doing all the work, but for seeing that it is done and done properly. The Lead Pastor serves under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Church Body. He directly receives counsel from the Elders and Deacons who serve the congregation.
