Pastor

Friendship Baptist Church, located between Saline and Jonesboro, LA (16511 Highway 4, Bienville, LA 71008) is seeking a full time/bi-vocational pastor to replace our pastor of 43 years who is retiring. Our prayer is that God will lead our church and our future pastor to each other. Qualifications of our future pastor include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Meet the qualifications of a pastor as outlined in the Bible including 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, etc.
• Be licensed and ordained as a Baptist Minister. A Bible or Seminary Degree is a plus.
• Be capable of preaching Biblically sound and Holy Spirit inspired sermons.
• Believe that the Bible is the infallible, inspired Word of God.
• Believe that the only means of salvation is through Jesus Christ.

Primary duties of our future pastor include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Lead Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening services.
• Provide guidance and leadership on church affairs including Sunday School, business meetings, etc.
• Provide guidance and leadership to deacons, officers, ministry leaders, etc.
• Administer Baptism and Communion services.
• Visit the sick.
• Provide community outreach and be a witness to those that are lost.
